Beatrix Hardick and her husband Herman (better known as Jackie and Ben from Villa Rosa on KykNet) were the first caretakers 
of Go Buddy. Herman invited the Grade-6 pupils of the Oakhill School in Knysna to assist 
them in their project.
They decided to organise a “feel special� day for the occupants of a local old age home, Loeriehof. Beatrix sponsored the snacks and the Grade-6 pupils each gave a donation towards buying 80 lovely red roses for the precious senior citizens.
The folks from Loeriehof were over the moon with all the pampering and attention, and all of them had a wonderful time. “It brought a tear to my eye to see these folks, some with no family at all!� Beatrix said afterwards.
